The Writers' Press
There are presently no open calls for submissions.
The Writers' Press is looking for outstanding novels and in select cases, short story collections. We especially want to see work from previously published, older authors who are frustrated by the book publishing industry's emphasis on celebrities and blockbusters. We employ a cooperative publishing model that asks authors to participate in publication costs in exchange for a significant share of revenues. (However, we will never turn down exceptional work for financial reasons.) TWP has no paid employees; all of our staff members are volunteers.
Please note: all submissions must be blind. Your name should NOT appear anywhere on your manuscript, including the title page.
Titles for The Writers' Press will receive a minimum grant of $1,000 toward publication costs. TWP is not a vanity publisher; titles will be selected based on recommendations of our editorial board. Please refer to our website for more information about us and what we are looking for. Even if you are not ready to submit, please Join Us as a Friend on our website, to keep apprised of our calendar, publications and prize winners. All Friends qualify for a 10% discount on any book purchases.
